Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American screen and stage actress who is best known for her film roles on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the popular television series The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis. Ellis is an American actress as well as a producer. She has a long-standing involvement on television and in theater. Her acting career began in the theater. She then appeared in various TV shows as well as independent and mainstream film. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes for which she won praise from critics but also numerous awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. Her professional acting debut with the character Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. The credits on stage comprise Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production written by Joe Turner. Her film work she's most popular for the roles she played in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her part as a frequent character on ABC's drama police series High Incident earned her praises.
