Carey was a high fashion model, who measures at nearly 5'10" was well-liked by American designers like Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father was an outstanding geologist who was in 1979 named Scientist of the Year in 1979 by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey was educated across the globe as a consequence of her father's career. As she was attending in the University of Colorado, Carey started modeling for a side. An agent from Ford Model Agency in New York noticed her and asked for help. She lived in France for a short time, including Paris as well as Bordeaux. She then returned to New York for her college studies as well as to develop her modeling career. While modeling, she also attended New York University full-time to obtain a degree in literature.
