Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota, journalist, writer, anchor for CNN's morning program "New Day" as well as a Westport, CT resident, has been elected to the trustee board at Westport Country Playhouse. Camerota has been journalist for more than thirty years, was a reporter for news and events as well as international. She won an Emmy Award in her early career for covering the arrest for Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow award when she reported the story of Hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone from Stamford was named an honorary board member after serving on the board for seven consecutive years. Czekaj Farber takes over from Barbara Streicker, a Westport resident who served as chairman of the board since 2015. The board chair continues to serve on the board, beginning in 2006.
